The Igor Mikhailovich Diakonoff Centennial (St. Petersburg, January 13-15, 2015)
The State Hermitage Museum and the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences cordially invite you to take part in the international conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Igor Mikhailovich Diakonoff (1915–1999).
The conference will take place January 13–15, 2015 in St. Petersburg at the State Hermitage Museum and the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts. In accordance with Igor Diakonoff’s key areas of research, it will be devoted to a wide range of questions regarding different aspects of Assyriological and Ancient Near Eastern studies: to political, social and economic history, literature, religion, languages and writing.
The working languages of the conference are Russian and English. The State Hermitage Museum can provide visa support for those who will need it. The proceedings of the conference will be published.

Papers should last no longer than 20 minutes. Abstracts of your paper (max. 200 words) must be received by December 1, 2014.
