Az elmúlt évek ásatásai több fontos lelettel gazdagították a Hettita Birodalom közkeletűen hettitának hívott, de valójában luvi (és Észak-Szíriában hamarosan elarámiasodó) utódállamairól vallott ismereteinket, melyekről röviden mi is megemlékeztünk (Kuttamuwa-sztélé, Aleppo, Tell Ta'yinat).
